Printing tips
Although each computer, software, and printer settings may be unique, below are some common fixes to printing problems:
- Make sure your printer is turned on and connected to your computer. If necessary, test print a different document.
- Check that you have sufficient ink/toner levels for a clear image.
Whether you'll receive ID cards depends on a few things:
- If you enrolled in ePolicy — our paperless solution — you will not receive ID cards in the mail. Instead, you should access your ID cards through the Allstate mobile app or the Allstate My Account website, where you'll have the option to print at home. Review "Are digital ID cards accepted as proof of insurance?" and "Can I print ID cards at home?" above for more info and exceptions by state.
- If you did not enroll in ePolicy, your ID cards will arrive in the mail, along with the rest of your policy documentation, within two weeks.
Hawaii residents: You will automatically receive ID cards in the mail for new policies regardless of your paperless preferences. Following policy changes and at renewal, Hawaii ID cards are only automatically mailed for policies not enrolled in ePolicy.
