Device information
A red light on the device will flash briefly once it is installed. You will also receive a notification through your app once the device is connected and a device connection status will appear as Active on your app.
It's important to check your app to ensure trips are being recorded. You will be notified in the app or through email if there is an issue with the device or if trips are not recording. Trips should appear on the dashboard within 48 hours. Sometimes trips will not appear right away because the vehicle is in an area where the device does not have adequate cellular service. Once the vehicle is in an area where the device can connect, all data from the device will be transferred and recorded in the Milewise dashboard.

Policy and payments
You can update your email address through My Account.
- Log in to My Account
- Select the drop down arrow next to Settings
- Select Profile
- Under Contact Information, select edit next to email address
Set up your Milewise account with an initial down payment, then pay as you go. Trip costs are deducted from your Milewise account after each trip is completed and processed — usually within 48 hours. When your account reaches the minimum balance, it will automatically replenish via the credit card on file.
You can also make a payment on your account at any time by accessing the Payment Information section on the Milewise website via My Account (see steps below).
- Login to the My Account website
- Select milewise.allstate.com to access Milewise website
- Next, select "View Payment Information" to display the payment history
- Click One-Time Payment
You can also make a one-time payment on the Allstate mobile app.
You can update your credit card on file via the Payment section in the Allstate mobile app.
- Log in to My Account
- Under the 'My Policies' section, click the link to the Milewise policy to view policy details
- Click the Payment tab
- Click 'Update Credit Card' under Payment Information in the lower left corner
Note: The changes made by the customer through the the Allstate mobile app will be effective immediately.
Most trips will display on the Milewise dashboard in the Allstate® mobile app/Milewise website within 48 hours of trip completion. Sometimes trips will not appear right away because the vehicle is in an area where the device does not have adequate cellular service. Once the vehicle is in an area where the device can connect, all data from the device will be transferred and recorded with Milewise account.
