Drivewise, in the Allstate mobile app connects you to a more personalized auto insurance rate, which could save you money for your safe driving.* Save just for participating, plus get a personalized rate at renewal based on your everyday driving. While your rate could increase with high-risk driving, most drivers will save with Drivewise.  The safer you drive, the less you’ll pay.

Drivewise gives you more control over the price you pay. You'll get updated pricing every policy period that reflect your past 12 months of driving (6 for the first renewal).

How crash detection works

Crash detection is a free safety feature that uses smartphone sensors to keep you and your loved ones safe on the road.

If a collision (over 25 mph) is detected on the driver or passenger side, the Allstate mobile app will send a notification to offer help. You’ll have the options to call 911, get roadside assistance, or start an auto claim.

More about Drivewise

You'll get a discount (varies by state) just for enrolling in Drivewise. You'll also get an ongoing participation discount as long as you remain active in the program. This means at least one operator on your policy has taken at least 50 trips before your renewal is processed (30-50 days prior to your renewal effective date). Your participation discount will not decline if you stay active in Drivewise, but your overall premium savings from Drivewise will depend on your individual driving behaviors.

Pricing based on your driving behaviors is fairer and more accurate than rates based on personal characteristics alone.

Driving behavior data will be collected through the Allstate® mobile app. Those who sign up and avoid risky driving behaviors can save on their premium, while drivers frequently exhibiting riskier behaviors could see their rates increased (except NY) to reflect that higher risk.

The collection and use of driving data used to power the Drivewise feature is provided by Arity LLC, an Allstate affiliate. By downloading the Allstate mobile application and enabling the Drivewise feature, you agree to allow Arity to collect, use and share with Allstate your geolocation data and other driving behavior related data.

The trip route map in the app is seen only by you, the app user. No location services information is available to anyone servicing a policy. Information used to evaluate driving performance can only be viewed by you, your Allstate agent, and customer service representatives who help service your policy.

The Allstate® mobile app is designed to minimize the amount of data transmitted. The data is only uploaded at the end of each trip when the smartphone is connected to the internet (Wi-Fi or cellular).
