A homeowner policy does not cover your snowmobile. If you're using your snowmobile for recreation, you’ll need a separate snowmobile policy. A snowmobile is only covered as property under a homeowner policy if it’s used to service your residence's premises.
Damage and theft can happen even if your snowmobile is not in use. Without proper coverage, you may have to pay out-of-pocket to repair or replace your vehicle if something happens over the summer. See more information about snowmobile insurance for the summer.
