Ready to Resume

Been out of the IT for longer than two years, and want to come back and restart your career with Allstate NI? If so, we have created the 'Ready to Resume Program' — designed to get you back to 'IT', and at a level befitting of your previous career.



The Programme

Allstate NI are committed to finding the best people for the job, and we understand that no two candidates are the same. For one reason or another many IT professionals end up out of employment for long periods of time, and we understand that the prospect of coming back to work, or 'starting over', can be challenging.

Therefore, we have developed our 'Ready to Resume' program: a unique initial training programme that empowers you to 'Pick up' where you left off, and without all the barriers of CV critiquing and formal interviews, helps you transition back into the workplace.

If you have been out of the workforce for longer than two years, and want to come back and restart your career with Allstate NI, the Ready to Resume Program is created to help and support you 'getting back to IT'

Essential Criteria;

  • Have you been out of IT for 2+ years?
  • Do you have 3+ years of Software Development Experience?
  • Do you hold an IT qualification (HND or Degree)?
  • Can you recommence full-time employment? (Flexible working arrangements available on offer of employment)
  • Be willing to participate in a 12 week paid reskilling programme?

The Process

  • Email to arrange a personal 1 to 1 telephone consultation
  • Complete an Application form (here) and submit to by Monday 24th June @ 5pm
  • Complete an online Aptitude Test (Early July /Details supplied following Registration)
  • Come In - meet some of our team and let's find out more about each other! No Formal Interview (Mid July)
  • Feedback & Offers (W/C 21st July)
  • Training Contract & 12-week training programme (Beginning Mid Sept- Mid Dec 2019)
  • Potential Permanent Job Offer and transition into the organization (19th Dec 2019)

Ongoing Support

Following the initial phase of training and development, resulting in a job offer, we want to ensure that you are supported back into a full-time working environment at a pace that works for you. We will ensure that you are supported along the way by;

  • Training your line managers on how they can add extra support and development for you
  • Provide you with Career Coaching workshops aiming to build your self-belief and employee network
  • Assign a mentor for Year 1, helping you to manage the transition back to work
