Easily File And Track Home Insurance Claims.

If you have to file a home insurance claim, Allstate can help you. With one of the largest teams of claims professionals in the country, your claim can be resolved quickly and efficiently. Understanding the steps to file a claim can help ease the pressure during a stressful time. You can file and track a claim 24/7 with any of the following options:

  • Contact your agent to file a homeowners claim in person.
  • Call 1-800-ALLSTATE (1-800-255-7828) to file and track a home insurance claim over the phone.
  • Use the Allstate Mobile App to start your homeowners claim. Text ALLSTATEAPP to 25788 to get a link to download.
  • Log in to My Account to file and track your home insurance claim online.

Step 1: File a claim.

Report your loss and we'll assign a unique number to track your claim—include this number on all documents you submit to Allstate. After filing, you'll get answers to your questions and an explanation of next steps in the claims process.

Step 2: Talk with a homeowner's claim team member.

A member of the homeowners claim team will contact you to answer your questions, ask you questions and to determine the best way to handle your loss.

Step 3: Evaluate the claim and coverage.

Your adjuster will evaluate your loss and determine what coverage may apply. Damages and necessary repairs and/or replacement will be estimated based on coverage available.

Step 4: Review your estimate with your adjuster.

Your adjuster will explain all coverage available and any damage estimate they may prepare.

Step 5: Wrap up your claim.

Your adjuster will wrap up the evaluation of your claim by providing you with any damage estimates they have prepared, along with an explanation of any settlement you may receive. Settlement documents and an explanation of next steps, if any, will also be provided at this time.
