Filing a claim from start to finish

How does the process work?

Step 1: File the claim.

First, file your claim using one of the four methods above. Then, you'll get a tracking number specific to your claim. Make sure to include it on every document you submit to Allstate.

Step 2: Talk with a team member.

A member of the homeowners claim team will contact you to answer questions and determine the best way to handle your loss.

Step 3: Evaluate the claim.

Your claims adjuster will evaluate the loss and estimate damages and necessary repairs based on the coverage that applies.

Step 4: Review your estimate.

Your adjuster will explain your damage estimate and answer any questions you may have.

Step 5: Finalize your claim.

Your adjuster will finalize your damage estimate and explain any settlement you may receive, along with the appropriate documents.
