Allstate roadside is designed to help you get back on the road quickly when unexpected vehicle trouble occurs, whether you are on the side of the road, in a parking lot, at work or even at home. If you're stranded, a roadside assistance plan can help with services like changing a flat tire, jump-starting a dead battery or towing your vehicle to a repair shop.

Allstate roadside offers a variety of roadside protection options designed to meet different driving needs and budgets, making it easier for you to choose the level of protection that’s right for you. (see "Get more with membership plans" in the What does roadside assistance cover? FAQ below)

You can get roadside assistance in two different ways:

• Purchase a roadside membership
• Pay-per-use in your time of need

Each option has different benefit limits, features, and prices, but both come with Allstate's award-winning rescue technology and the only crowd-sourced rescue network in the industry — resulting in faster rescues for our customers.

Roadside assistance covers many basic services that can get your vehicle back on the road if you're stranded.

These services include:

• Towing your vehicle if it's had a mechanical breakdown, or can't be driven safely, to the destination of your choice, including your home, a repair facility or a dealership, up to your plan’s towing benefit limit.
• Unlocking your vehicle if you're locked out
• Delivering fuel if you run out of gas*
• Jump-starting your vehicle if your battery is out of power
• Changing a flat tire, including putting on your spare

A membership plan offers additional benefits to help if your car breaks down on a long-distance drive:

• Up to 15 miles of towing with our base Roadside Assist plan, offering more than twice the towing mileage of many competitors.
• Higher towing limits (up to 100 miles with the Roadside Elite membership plan) to help ensure you're able to tow your vehicle to a desired location.
• Repair & replacement for damaged tires and wheels (on eligible plans).
• Trip interruption reimbursement benefit to help pay for eligible unexpected costs.
• Clearly defined towing benefits, including listed mileage limits, help reduce unexpected out-of-pocket expenses if your vehicle needs to be towed while you're traveling.
• Allstate Roadside offers additional services, discounts, and offers to our members based on the plan selected. These services, discounts and offers are subject to change.

You can access and use Allstate roadside through the Allstate mobile app for Android and iPhone or at roadside.allstate.com through any web browser. There, you can get qualified help whether you have a roadside membership with Allstate roadside or want pay-per-use towing or other services. Just open the Allstate mobile app and tap on roadside or go to roadside.allstate.com.

You can use roadside assistance if your vehicle isn't running and you need a tow, you've locked your keys in your vehicle, have a flat tire, dead battery, or run out of gas*.

A roadside membership allows you to pay an annual fee for roadside assistance benefits you can use throughout the year. Pay-per-use roadside assistance means that you pay a fee every time you request assistance.

Allstate roadside offers multiple membership options designed to meet different needs and budgets. Plan pricing varies based on the level of protection selected and the number of drivers on the membership. You can choose from plans that provide basic roadside protection or enhanced benefits such as expanded towing, trip interruption reimbursement benefits and tire and wheel protection. The number of roadside service events included in your membership depends on the plan you choose, and the number of drivers on the membership. The plans with higher levels of protection offer additional benefits and service events per annual membership period.

If you ever need assistance after using all your service events during an annual membership period, help is still available. Additional roadside services can be requested on a pay-per-use basis, allowing you to continue receiving support whenever you need it.

No. Roadside membership plans are available even if you do not have an Allstate auto insurance policy.

No. Roadside assistance is a membership that is separate from your auto insurance policy. Any eligible roadside assistance services you use, such as towing, battery jump-starts, lockout assistance or tire changes, will not be recorded as a claim on your auto insurance policy.

You have access to a nationwide rescue network, easy service requests online or through the Allstate mobile app, and a variety of protection options that can include towing, jump-starts, lockout assistance, trip interruption benefits, tire and wheel protection, and other benefits offerings. With flexible plan choices and enhanced benefit options, Allstate roadside helps deliver value and peace of mind wherever the road takes you.

Many of our customers prefer to proactively become members of Allstate roadside. With a roadside plan, you don't have to worry about changing a flat tire or getting a jump-start if you're stranded with vehicle trouble. When you use our network of rescue providers, your membership covers service fees, so you don't have to pay extra.

Other customers choose to leverage our pay-per-use option, so they can get the benefits of our technology and provider network but only pay when they need roadside assistance.

Roadside assistance can be especially valuable for drivers who frequently travel long distances, have multiple drivers in the household, own older vehicles, or simply want protection from unexpected roadside expenses.
