The Help You Need In Illinois.
The Illinois Department of Insurance has issued a bulletin declaring Cook, Kane, Lake, and McHenry counties disaster areas after significant flooding impacted these counties and provides safeguards for consumers impacted by the floods. We want to make sure you’re aware of the bulletin, which is located here: http://insurance2.illinois.gov/cb/2017/CB2017-03.pdf
Allstate has taken the following measures in adherence to the bulletin:
A moratorium has been placed on cancellations and nonrenewal notices for affected properties.
Processes are in place to ensure that, if needed, affected policy holders are granted the extensions outlined in the bulletin.
Underwriting guidelines and processes are being adjusted to accommodate the provisions in the bulletin.
