About PPO and Network Only plan options

Allstate Benefits offers flexible network options with PPO and Network-Only plan designs for small and mid-sized businesses. With our Self-Funded Program, you may save money compared to fully-insured plans.

We offer access to top-rated national networks like Cigna® PPO, Cigna® OAP, Aetna Signature Administrators®, and local networks. Depending on your plan selection, you can offer more than one network or plan design to your employees.

MeMD offers your members access to virtual Urgent Care for minor illness and injuries and virtual Talk Therapy for mental health counseling services.1

How it works

Standard PPO plan designs

Our standard PPO plan pays benefits for both in- and out-of-network services. However, you and your members will save more by using in-network providers.

Network-Only plan designs

Our standard network-only Advantage plan designs pay benefits only when group members use in-network providers, with the exception of emergency services. You and your members save by eliminating higher-cost, out-of-network benefits.

Features and benefits

Our self-funded PPO and Network-Only plan designs have the following features and benefits:

  • One predictable monthly payment — Small companies have the financial stability of level funding. Payments are guaranteed not to increase for a full year as long as there are no changes to benefits or enrollment. Companies with 51 or more group members can choose the same predictable payment each month or to pay claims as they are incurred.
  • Savings — Rates for a self-funded program are often lower than those for a fully-insured plan, and employers with a level-funded plan may receive money back from their claims account in years when claims are lower than anticipated.4 In addition, you and your members will see the savings add up when members use in-network services.
  • Hands-off administration — Customer service, claims, and other administrative services are handled by our trusted third-party administrators — Allied Benefit Systems, LLC, and Meritain Health.
  • Stop-loss insurance — When your group has higher-than-expected claims, stop-loss insurance kicks in to protect your finances.
  • Dedicated support — Our third-party administrators offer top-quality customer service. They can help members find a provider, understand their Explanation of Benefits, or resolve billing discrepancies.
