A little homework is worth your time. Coverage levels and deductibles aren't uniform. In fact, they can vary widely. A quick search will turn up lots of companies offering pet insurance, but look beyond price to make sure you're comparing apples to apples in terms of coverage.
- Some pet insurance companies offer extras and options for things like rewards and advertising reimbursement should your companion scamper away.
- Routine office visits may not be covered by baseline policies-so make sure you understand what is and isn't covered, and read website FAQ pages.
- Some pet insurance companies increase your premium as the animal ages; some don't.
