Allstate supports and motivates employees with a total compensation and benefits package that includes competitive salaries and a range of benefits that can be tailored to the needs of employees and their families. In 2007, Allstate paid $3.4 billion in non-agent employee total compensation. This includes payroll taxes nationwide totaling $174 million. Also included are employee welfare and benefits, which are among our major corporate investments. In 2007, Allstate spent $709 million in providing employees with benefits that help them support their families and stay healthy.
