Corporate Contributions to State Candidates and Committees

As noted earlier in this report, during 2012 Allstate contributed approximately 2 percent of its public policy resources to state candidates for public office, political parties, political committees, and other entities organized and operating under 26 U.S.C. Section 527.

Allstate supported candidates and committees, with the contributions for this period totaling $372,080. Of this amount, forty percent supported Democratic candidates, fifty-six percent supported Republican candidates and four percent supported nonpartisan committees.
