Allstate 'TEC' Opens its Doors!!!!

Allstate Strabane's new Training and Education Centre (TEC) today opened it doors.

The state of the art facility located a stones throw from the current Allstate NI Strabane site, is housed within the Strabane Enterprise Agency location at the Orchard Road in the town. With 4 brand new training rooms, and a break-out area, Allstate NI Managing Director Bro McFerran has high hopes for the new addition to Strabane's presence in the town, commenting: 'The opening today is testament to the hardwork, commitment and dedication of our staff here in Strabane over the past eight years. We have grown from a team of 40 employees in 2004 to 410 today. The new TEC will allow us to further train our staff in the skills they need to provide the outstanding customer service to our US clients that we have become renowned for.'

Last week the local IT company held a Recruitment Day at the Alley Theatre, Strabane. Successful candidates at the event will be among the first to take advantage of the innovative facilities on offer at Allstate NI.

The grand opening was attended by representatives from Strabane Enterprise Agency and Strabane District Council including Christina Mullen and Geraldine Stafford, as well as Allstate US dignitaries. The 'Allstate blue' ribbon was cut by Allstate Senior Vice President Carla Zuniga who travelled from Allstate Headquarters in Chicago accompanied by John Davis Allstate, Operations Director, Raquel Wernicke, Allstate Operations and Strategy Leader, and Doug Loretto, Allstate NI Senior Account Manager.

Speaking at the event, Strabane Operations Area Leader Tom Hamilton said: 'Today has been the result of a very busy five weeks at Allstate NI Strabane. Without the help of all those involved in the project team both internally at Allstate NI, Allstate US and our local partners in Strabane none of this would have been possible. I want to thank everyone involved in making the opening of the faciltiy a success.'

Allstate NI will now begin training over 54 staff at the facility as the company continues growing its presence in Strabane.
