Allstate and College Football

Twenty-two college football players have been named to the 2011 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team®. The players awarded this prestigious honor were selected by a committee from 132 nominations submitted by colleges and universities across the country. Two 11-member teams - one composed of players competing in the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision and a combined team representing the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision, Divisions II, III and the NAIA - recognize players that embody the true spirit of giving back through selfless contributions and commendable acts of kindness. In addition to our sponsorships of the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team®, did you happen to notice the Good Hands® Nets behind field goals? We raise them at 71 college stadiums around the country. Each field goal and extra point kicked into the nets has helped to raise over $2.4 million in donations for collegiate general scholarship funds. We are also a proud sponsor the Southeastern Conference and the Big Ten Conference - two of the premier college football conferences in the country.

During the post-season, we sponsor 21 college bowl games and in 2012 will be hosting both the Allstate® Sugar Bowl® and Allstate BCS National Championship^TM games in New Orleans on January 3rd and January 9th respectively.
