Allstate has been involved with college football since 2005 when our "Good Hands" field goal nets debuted at colleges and universities across the country. Each field goal and extra point kicked into the Allstate nets has helped to raise over $2.6 million in donations for collegiate general scholarship funds. We are also a proud sponsor of the Southeastern Conference and the Big Ten Conferencetwo of the premier power football conferences in the country.
For the past 6 years, we have hosted the Allstate Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. This year's game is on January 2, 2013. In addition to the Allstate Sugar Bowl, we also sponsor 21 post-season college football bowl games.
In 2012, the Allstate Tailgate Tourmade up of two mobile unitswill visit over 40 college campuses. Each Allstate Tailgate Tour stop will feature local Allstate agents on-site and numerous interactive elements. At no cost, ticketed fans are able to design a poster to help cheer on their team, have a souvenir picture taken, enter to win two tickets to the Allstate® Sugar Bowl® Game through the :60 Seconds of Mayhem Sweepstakes and win cool prizes playing Allstate Plinko. Every year, twenty-two outstanding college football players are named to the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team. Two 11-member teamsone comprised of players competing in the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision and a combined team representing the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision, Divisions II, III and the NAIArecognize players who embody the true spirit of giving back through selfless contributions and commendable acts of kindness.
