Beyond February®

Allstate understands that supporting the African-American community for just 28 days in February is not enough. That's why we established Beyond February. It is our every day, year-round commitment to create, support and sponsor programs that empower the community.

Launched in October 2007, Beyond February is not our first foray into supporting the African-American community, but rather the unification of some of our biggest programs under one single voice. The way we see it, when February ends, community support shouldn't.

Some of our key programs and sponsorships are featured below:

Allstate's Annual Give Back Day

Give Back Day celebrates the legacy and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., by encouraging individuals to follow his examples of giving back to the community.

For the past two years Allstate has been hosting and organizing Give Back Day events nationwide where employees, Allstate agents and the community come together to volunteer and a make difference.

Give Back Day 2010 proved to be even more successful than last year with more volunteers and events. In addition,. Allstate designated four individuals as the inaugural Allstate Give Back Day Heroes. Each individual demonstrated an ongoing commitment to making positive contributions in their communities through volunteering their time and effort to important causes and inspiring others to do the same. As part of their recognition, they attend the King Center's Salute to Greatness Awards Banquet with Allstate Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Tom Wilson.

Annually, the Salute to Greatness Award honors one individual and one company for their dedication to Dr. King's principles and philosophy. This year, Allstate was honored to accept the award for ongoing support of the community. To learn more about the Salute to Greatness Award, visit thekingcenter.org.

Mark your calendars now for Give Back Day 2011 -Monday, January 17, 2011. More details to come.
