Give Back Day

Allstate's Beyond February Give Back Day - January 19, 2009

Allstate would like to thank you for taking time to learn about our national Give Back Day on Monday, January 19, 2009. We believe that by working together, we can all help create safe and vital communities nationwide. Often times, we hear people want to get involved, but they don't know how. To help, we have partnered with VolunteerMatch* to create Allstate's Beyond February ~ Give Back Day. This day is set aside from our usual daily routines to come together and create positive change within our own communities. In keeping with our commitment to community engagement and collaboration, we chose January 19 - the holiday honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

What is Allstate's Beyond February?

Several years ago, we recognized that many organizations support the African-American community randomly throughout the year but most actively in February, also known as Black History Month. For us, 28 days in February was not enough. So in October 2007, we launched Beyond February as our year-round commitment to create, support and sponsor programs that empower the community. For Allstate, Beyond February is not our first foray into supporting the African-American community, but rather the unification of all of our programs under one realm. Our vision for Beyond February helps align our programs and activities with the core values of the community - creating six pillars, which serve as the basis of everything we do. We believe these pillars - Community, Education, Economic Empowerment, Spirituality, Family and Achievement - allow us to truly make a positive impact on the community.
