That's where Allstate Condo Insurance comes in. We help protect you, your belongings, and your friends and family.

Make sure you've got the right protection. Make it Allstate.

Standard Coverages

Allstate's Condominium Insurance provides coverage that protect you, your condo or townhome, and your belongings:

  • Personal Property Protection
Safeguards the possessions inside your condo or townhome, such as furniture, electronics, clothes, and more.

  • Liability Protection
Helps cover you if someone sues you after being injured on your property.

  • Guest Medical Protection
Helps if someone incurs medical expenses from an injury suffered on your property.

  • Reimbursed Living Expenses
Helps you recover money for living costs if a covered loss makes your home uninhabitable. Such expenses typically include food, a temporary place to live, and more.

  • Building Property Protection
Covers belongings such as cabinetry and appliances that aren't typically considered personal property. (Talk to your agent to calculate an appropriate amount of coverage.)

  • Replacement Coverage
Protects you for the purchase price of lost items at the time of the claim.

Allstate also offers options that go beyond standard condo coverage, including:

  • Loss Assessment Coverage

Customers often have questions about Allstate Condo Insurance. Here are some answers for the most common questions.

  • How can I save money on my Allstate Condo Insurance?
Increasing your deductible is one way to cut costs. If you can afford to raise it to $1,000, you may save as much as 25%. You may also qualify for discounts if you bundle your Allstate Condo Insurance with your Allstate car policy, or you install smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, or a security system.
  • What kinds of things are typically not covered by Allstate Condo Insurance?
Most Allstate Condo Insurance policies cover your contents – up to a certain value. But expensive possessions like jewelry, furs, and antiques may require extended coverage to cover their full value. Check with your local Allstate agent to learn more.
  • What is "replacement cost"? How does that differ from "actual cash value"?
Typically, replacement cost means your insurance will pay the cost of rebuilding or repairing the inside of your condo (or replacing contents) without subtracting any money for depreciation. Actual cash value, however, covers your valuables based on the depreciated value of your possessions at the time of loss.
  • If I file a claim, do I have to work with the insurance company's contractors?
With Allstate, if you choose your own contractor, they are responsible for guaranteeing their work. Or you can choose a contractor participating in the Allstate vendor referral program, and a home repair guarantee that will last three years.
  • Does my Allstate Condo Insurance include flood insurance?
Allstate Condo Insurance typically does not provide coverage for flood damage. However, if your community participates in the National Flood Insurance Program, you may be able to purchase flood insurance through it.
  • Does my current insurance policy cover my condo?
Whether or not your condo is covered by your current insurance policy will depend on your specific policy. If you have questions at any time regarding your coverage, you may log in to your account or contact your Allstate agent.
