What Has Allstate Done in our Local Community?
Illinois
  • The Allstate Foundation partnered with Health World Children’s Museum to create an interactive program to help children explore their feelings of Tolerance, Inclusion and Diversity. The program is presented daily at the museum, reaching thousands of children, and conducted outside the museum at local Boys and Girls Clubs, via an outreach coordinator.
  • The Allstate Foundation proudly funded a postcard distributed to 1,500 homes by the YWCA of Lake County to create awareness of their Day of Commitment to Eliminate Racism.
  • Funding from The Allstate Foundation enabled Operation Humanity to create a new program dedicated to helping low income families in the quad city area achieve financial stability by giving them computer access. Crossing the technological barrier is the first step to achieving economic self-reliance.
  • Renewed funding from The Allstate Foundation assisted the Center of Concern to continue their work of matching seniors with roommates, so the seniors could remain in their homes.
  • Renewed funding from The Allstate Foundation enabled the Women’s Business Development Center to continue its Child Care Business Initiative, offering workshops for start ups and experienced child care providers.
  • Renewed funding from The Allstate Foundation enabled Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago to create more awareness of their Home Ownership Preservation Initiative, aimed at providing resources to home owners in danger of foreclosure.
  • Renewed funding from The Allstate Foundation assisted The Allendale Association to continue a mentoring program for troubled youth.
Minnesota
  • The Allstate Foundation proudly renewed its funding of Best Prep, creating the opportunity for Minnesota high school students to attend a two week summer camp designed to increase leadership and business skills.
  • Renewed funding from The Allstate Foundation enabled the City of Lakes Community Land Trust to continue their Homebuyer Outreach and Education program, getting potential and new home owners off on secure footing when realizing the American dream of homeownership.
