Ohio, Indiana and Michigan Punched by Winter Storm

A winter storm system impacted Indiana, Michigan and Ohio February 15 through February 22, 2010. The storm system unloaded heavy wet snow and frigid temperatures primarily in Ohio, but losses have been reported across all three states. The resulting property damages are chiefly the result of freezing pipes, water leaks and ice dams.

Storms swept through the states of Indiana, Michigan and Ohio December 9 and 10, 2009. The storm system downed trees and tree limbs on to homes and power lines, blew debris into homes and vehicles and caused structural and cosmetic damages to properties and vehicles. The highest concentration of claims is in Ohio, specifically the cities of Cincinnati, Columbus and Akron.
