A strong storm system moved across Indiana, Michigan and Ohio on September 3 and September 4, 2011. This front consisted of extremely strong winds that downed trees and tree limbs on to homes and power lines and primarily caused damages to roofs, roofing materials, fences and decks. Damages are concentrated in the Michigan counties of Wayne and Oakland as well as the Ohio county of Miami.

A storm system consisting primarily of powerful winds, some pockets of heavy rain and lightning strikes trekked across Indiana, Michigan and Ohio August 24 and 25 resulting in downed trees and tree limbs on to homes and vehicles. Additionally, there are loss reports describing wind damages to roofs, water damages due to sewer back-ups and electrical losses due to lightning. The counties mainly impacted by this storm are as follows: Indiana - Elkhart, Allen, Clinton, Tippecanoe, Fountain, Hancock and Warren; Michigan – Wayne, Oakland, Sanilac, Macomb, St. Clair, Kalamazoo, Calhoun, Washtenaw, Livingston, Cass and Jackson; Ohio – Summit, Ashtabula, Seneca, Huron, Wood, Trumbull, Geauga, Cuyahoga, Hancock, Sandusky, Henry, Fairfield, Medina, Lorain, Paulding and Ottawa.

A storm system trekking from the west impacted Indiana, Ohio and Michigan July 11 and 12, 2011. The storm packed powerful wind gusts, rain and some lightning strikes. The storm downed trees and tree limbs on to power lines, and damaged roofs, fences, decks and vehicles. The counties primarily impacted are as follows: Indiana – Lake, Porter, La Porte, St. Joseph and Elkhart; Michigan – Ottawa, Allegan, Van Buren, Berrien, Kalamazoo, Wayne and Oakland; Ohio – Defiance, Henry, Allen and Richland.
