Severe thunderstorms occurred across Colorado September 29, with some areas experiencing heavy rain, hail, snow and tornado watches. The storm system, which moved up from the southwest part of the state, dropped heavy snow on Telluride and Crested Butte before dumping up to an inch of dime-, nickel and quarter-sized hail in parts of Centennial Highlands Ranch. A tornado warning was issued for central Arapahoe and northwestern Elbert counties, and a tornado watch was also put in effect for Adams, Arapahoe and Douglas counties. Areas north and east of Denver to include Northglenn, Thornton and Aurora received hail from the storm system. Damages include: Hail damage to siding and roofs, trees on homes and fences.
