Violent storms strike Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma

Multiple tornadoes struck the northeast section of Oklahoma, May 10 and May 11, 2008 devastating the small town of Picher. As a result of this storm system many residents in Quapaw, Burneyville, Welch and Tuskahoma have also reported damages to their homes and vehicles. Loss reports range mostly from moderate to substantial and are primarily due to tornadic activity and flying debris.
Storm System Strikes Central and Southern US

A volatile storm system swept across Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Kentucky, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri May 1 through 3, 2008 resulting in scattered widespread damages ranging from minor to moderate with a few substantial losses.  In Oklahoma, the most impacted county was Oklahoma.
Oklahoma pounded with hailstorms

Severe storms consisting of golf ball-sized hail, torrential rains, straight-line winds and lighting damaged homes and vehicles across Oklahoma April 7 through 9. The storm system knocked out power to thousands in the Tulsa metro area and large hailstones resulted in moderate to heavy damages to building roofs and vehicles throughout the area.  Counties most heavily impacted include Tulsa, Wagoner and Creek.
Texas and Oklahoma hit with large hail, high winds and flooding rains

Severe weather affected Oklahoma March 30 through April 1. The storm consisted of large hail, high winds, heavy rains and some tornadic activity.  The most concentrated area of property damages are in the greater northwest area of Oklahoma City. Additionally, there is a pocket of substantial damages in Payne. Property loss reports indicate minor to moderate wind, hail and lightning damages with a majority of the losses being wind and hail damage to roofs. Vehicle loss reports indicate minor to moderate damages resulting from hail, flying debris, and falling trees and limbs.
