Strong storms wreaked havoc across the West Central U.S. from May 26 through May 31, 2013. The system produced violent thunderstorms with strong wind and lightning damage as well as "water other" perils. Hail damage in this area is minor at this time. There are also several tornado touchdowns in Kansas and Missouri. A concentration of damage is located in St. Charles and St. Louis metro markets.
A storm system consisting of wind gusts of up to 75 MPH, some tornadic activity and large hail resulted in property damages May 18 through 20, 2013 in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. Damage reports indicate losses to siding, roofs, glass and skylights, as well as trees on homes; vehicle damages are the result of the hail and downed trees and tree limbs.
