Strong storm leaves behind damage in Southern U.S.

A storm system swept across the south March 10 and 11, consisting of strong winds, heavy rain, large hail, lightning and scattered tornadic activity impacting the states of Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee. The storm system downed trees and tree limbs on to homes and power lines; the strong wind blew debris into homes and vehicles; and large hail damaged properties and vehicles. Although there are reported losses scattered across all states the areas of highest concentration are as follows: across the entire state of Arkansas, northwestern Louisiana and minimal impact to Mississippi, Tennessee and Kentucky.
Brutal artic blast results in freeze damages in the Southern US

Low temperatures, snow and ice impacted Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee from January 4 and January 11, 2010. The frigid temperatures have caused widespread freeze damages that include frozen and broken pipes and water damages. Additionally, ice encrusted trees and tree limbs have fallen on to roofs, decks and fences resulting in both structural and surface damages to homes and buildings. Damages are reported from across all states but are predominantly concentrated in the following areas: Arkansas counties of Benton, Faulkner, Pulaski and Garland; Louisiana parishes of Caddo, Bossier and East Baton Rouge; Mississippi counties of Desoto, Hinds, Warren, Tate and Lee; Tennessee counties of Shelby, Tipton, Davidson and Knox; Kentucky sustained minimal damages.
Storm System Impacts State

A storm system that impacted Texas also resulted in property damages in Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee and Kentucky 12/23/09 – 12/25/09. The storm system consisted of tornadoes, strong winds and heavy rains primarily impacting the Louisiana parishes of Lincoln, Acadia, Avoyelles, St. Landry, Union, Vermilion, Natchitoches, East Baton Rouge, Cameron, Catahoula and Lafayette and the Mississippi counties of Jackson, Harrison, Perry and Lincoln, with minimal damages reported across Arkansas, Tennessee and Kentucky. The losses chiefly indicate wind damages to roofs, siding and trees; the downed trees and tree limbs have fallen on to homes, fences and decks resulting in structural and superficial damages.
Long line of storms impact the Southern US

A powerful storm system consisting of very strong winds stretching from Southwest Louisiana to Northeast Tennessee impacted the states of Arkansas, Kentucky Louisiana, Kentucky and Tennessee December 7 through 9. The storm system downed trees and tree limbs on to homes and power lines; blew debris into homes and vehicles; and caused structural and cosmetic damages to properties and vehicles. Although there are reported losses scattered across all states the area of highest concentration is in the areas of Chattanooga, Knoxville and Memphis, Tennessee.
