Catastrophes in Indiana
Storms soak the Midwest U.S.

A powerful line of storms moved across the country impacting the states of Indiana, Ohio and Michigan from March 18 to March 20. This storm system consists of high winds, straight line winds, hail, lightning and heavy rain. Although property damages are reported in all three states the areas of concentrated damages are primarily in Ohio. Property loss reports indicate moderate damages with losses largely related to water and sewer back-up and wind and hail damages to roofs.

Winter storm grips Midwestern states

A winter storm consisting of wind, rain and frigid temperatures gripped the Midwestern states March 4 through March 11. Properties in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio are damaged due to ice laden trees and tree limbs falling on to buildings and vehicles; downed power lines that knocked out power to thousands of homes and businesses resulting in freeze losses; and losses due to wind. The concentrated areas of impact include the Indiana counties of Marion, Henry and Hamilton.
