Due to recent storm activity in Central Illinois, the Illinois Department of Insurance has issued a bulletin to provide safeguards for consumers impacted by the storm. A moratorium has been placed on cancellations and nonrenewal notices for affected properties.
Processes are in place to ensure that, if needed, affected policy holders are granted the extensions outlined in the bulletin.
Underwriting guidelines and processes are being adjusted to accommodate the provisions in the bulletin.
