Florida's drought conditions are contributing to wildfires that began burning in Volusia and Brevard Counties along the Central Florida East Coast May 10, 2008. Some homes in the communities of Palm Bay and Malabar have already succumbed to these wildfires, have been scorched by the intense heat, or are smoke damaged.
