A volatile storm system swept across Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Kentucky, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri May 1 through 3, 2008 resulting in scattered widespread damages ranging from minor to moderate with a few substantial losses. In Arkansas, the counties of Benton, Cleburne and Washington were the most impacted. The most severe damages occurred in the greater Little Rock communities of Benton, Bee Branch, Center Ridge, Damascus, Heber Springs, Hensley and Woodson where at least one tornado set down.
