The National Catastrophe Team (NCT) has been monitoring and responding to the fire situation in Butte County, California, known as the CAMP fire.  Mobile Response Units were deployed to California to assist customers.
Summer storm barrels through Southeastern US

Another summer storm barreled through the Southeastern US impacting residents in AlabamaGeorgiaNorth Carolina and South Carolina from July 7 through July 9, 2008.  This storm consisted of hail as well as numerous lightning strikes.

Thousands of homes and businesses remained without power Thursday morning after thunderstorms with heavy rain, hail, strong winds and frequent lightning swept across Michigan's Lower Peninsula and Ohio's northern counties beginning July 2 and continuing into, July 3, 2008.  Minimal damage was reported in Indiana.
Storms stretch across Southeast US resulting in wind and lightning damage

Strong storms, with much needed rain, stretched across the AlabamaGeorgiaNorth Carolina and South Carolina June 28 and June 29, 2008.  The heavy rains brought with them high winds that toppled trees and power lines leaving thousands without electricity.  This storm, which also consisted of a large number of lightning strikes, caused minor to moderate property damage.
Powerful storms rip through Nebraska and Iowa leaving much damage

Severe storms consisting of winds reportedly reaching 80 mph swept through the Plains June 27 and June 28, 2008 causing significant damage in areas of Nebraska and Iowa.  This storm also left thousands of residents in without electricity.

A strong storm system pushed through Kansas on May 5 and May 6, 2008 causing minor to moderate damages.
Another line of thunderstorms barrels across North Texas

A cluster of fast-moving thunderstorms moved through portions of North Texas June 17 and June 18, 2008.  Golf ball to baseball sized-hail was reported in several counties damaging homes and vehicles.  The National Weather Service reported wind gusts approaching 70 mph which resulted in downed trees and power lines.
Northwest Texas hit with winds and possible tornadoes

A strong storm front consisting of powerful winds, some hail, multiple lightning strikes and tornadic activity impacted the Texas counties Childress, Hardeman and Stonewall beginning June 14 and continuing through June 16, 2008.
New York and Midwest thumped by hail storm

A storm system with clashing warm and cold fronts resulted in powerful thunderstorms and golf-ball sized hail in western New York June 15 through June 17, 2008 and IndianaMichigan and Ohio June 15 through June 16, 2008. The storm produced hail and resulted in power outages scattered across the state. 
Another storm strikes the Midwest with strong winds and torrential rain

Another storm front consisting of strong winds with isolated hail moved across IllinoisMinnesota and Wisconsin June 14 and June 15, 2008. Most of the claims are concentrated in Northeastern Illinois, specifically the city of Chicago.

A severe storm front consisting of strong winds with gusts to 80 MPH, tornadoes, heavy rain and some hail moved across NebraskaKansasIllinoisMinnesota and Wisconsin beginning Wednesday, June 11 and continuing into Thursday, June 13, 2008.  Consequently, there are significant damages to homes, businesses and buildings in several counties.  A Mobile Response Unit was deployed to Manhattan, KS.

A storm system consisting of strong winds, rains and lightning swept through Central Indiana and Southwest Ohio yesterday, June 3 and continued today, June 4.  This storm also included tornadic activity with a tornado touching down in the small Indiana community of Moscow.  This storm continued eastward impacting MarylandWashington D.C., VirginiaDelaware and West Virginia.
