The Allstate National Catastrophe Team (NCT) was formed to meet the varied needs of Allstate customers affected by catastrophic weather events, wildfires and earthquakes. With this in mind the NCT management brought together a team of claim personnel who are dedicated to handling catastrophe claims.
The team includes more than 700 full-time inside and field employees who are located at the various locations to respond to disasters throughout the country. When additional personnel are needed the NCT can supplement its staff through existing relationships with independent adjusting firms. Furthermore, the NCT is segmented across the country expediting our response to disasters, no matter where they occur.
The Team has a fleet of Mobile Claim Centers that can be sent to severely damaged areas to service policyholders affected by catastrophic events. These units are custom designed motor homes that range in length from 32' to 39'. These units are equipped with workspaces, satellite phones, computer jacks, data lines, as well as FAX and copiers. At the Mobile Claim Centers policyholders can file their claims, get answers to their claim questions, and during significantly damaging events they may be able to receive claim funds to help them with additional living expenses on covered losses.
