Little Bit of History

The state of Iowa encompasses 56,272 square miles and is ranked 26th in the nation's total area. It was the 29th state to enter the union on December 28, 1846. Iowa was named after the Ioway people, a Siouan tribe of Native Americans that formerly lived there.
