Little Bit of History

The state of Indiana encompasses 36,418 square miles and is ranked 38th in the nation's total area. It was the 19th state to enter the union on December 11, 1816. Indiana means Land of the Indians, or simply Indian Land.

  • Historic Parke County has 32 covered bridges and is the Covered Bridge Capital of the world.
