Little Bit of History

The state of Delaware encompasses 2,490 square miles and is ranked 49th in the nation's total area. It was the 1st state to enter the union on December 7, 1787. Delaware is named after Delaware Bay and River, which were named for Thomas West, 3rd Baron De La Warr (1577 1618).
