Allstate NI secures hat-trick at glittering Workplace & Employment Awards

More than 420 people attended the glittering black-tie dinner event at the Ramada Hotel gala dinner. Allstate NI walked off with a personal haul of three trophies in the large organisation category as the Winner of the Best Talent Management Award, Best Employee Well Being and Work Life Balance Award and Best Place to Work in Northern Ireland

The company had entered submissions in three categories and was up against extremely strong competition such as BT, Sainsbury's and Northern Bank to name a few. Allstate NI had previously won awards in 2007 and 2008 at this prestigious award ceremony including the Best Place to Work Award in 2007 and the Talent Management Award in 2008.

The prestigious event, hosted by award-winning BBC journalist Karen Patterson, saw 17 main awards being presented alongside 19 commendations. Sir Reg Empey, Minister for the Department of Employment & Learning congratulated all the winners for their success in placing a firm emphasis on individuals and their positive contribution to the Northern Ireland workplace. The judges were representatives from a local legal firm, Investors in People, the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development and Business in the Community commented that they were 'blown away' at the number of excellent business practices and initiatives in place at Allstate Northern Ireland, particularly the large numbers of employee volunteers who participate in work groups and special projects such as Innovation, Internal Systems and Inclusion (to name only a few) and the HR and admin teams who support these initiatives.
