Day in the Life

Welcome to A Day in the Life of a SEO Practitioner

Meet Brian

Brian is a SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) Practitioner at Allstate Northern Ireland. He started his career path with Allstate Northern Ireland in 2003 as a Software Developer and spent 3 months working at Allstate's Head Office in Chicago where he helped design software to facilitate the provisioning of user data for up to 65,000 employees. Just prior to joining the SEO team he built a web-based application with 2 other developers that allows Allstate employees and external users to process payments for insurance policies.

Brian previously worked for Aepona in Northern Ireland as a Software Engineer, for the NEC in Australia and as a Test Engineer with BP, since graduating from Bournemouth University with a Degree in Software Engineering Management.

"I came to Allstate Northern Ireland because I wanted to work in newer technologies, when the opportunity came up to work on the SEO team, I jumped at the chance. It's not every day that you get the opportunity to work in a company the size of Allstate and get the range of experience that it brings." - Brian

In his spare time (as well as having a young son with another one on the way) Brian also enjoys caravanning, cycling, fishing and playing guitar.
