Barrie is a relative newcomer to Allstate Northern Ireland starting work as a Project Manager in January 2012, after having worked for Bank of Ireland as the UK Deposits Strategy & MIS Analyst. Before that, Barrie worked in the Northern Ireland Civil Service as a .Net Developer working on a variety of government IT projects. He originally graduated from Queen's University Belfast with a BA Maj Hons in Information Management and Computer Science. A few years later Barrie returned to Queens to study on a part time basis and gained an Executive MBA.
He is currently working on a recognition tool for employees in the US which is providing experience in managing the full software development life cycle. Barrie is also managing a SOX Audit Project providing him with experience in the area of compliance and what is required under Sarbanes Oxley. In addition to that he is also working on a project designed to look at the way DBAs currently manage their work intake (in terms of projects ) to make it more efficient.
