Tom started working as a Team Manager in the Call Centre at Allstate Northern Ireland's Strabane office in 2005 and was promoted to Area Leader of Operations in 2007.
Over the years Tom has had many jobs working in bars, hotels and hospitals but it wasn't until he started working for the HBOS (now Lloyds bank) contact centre in Belfast that he "fell" into Call Centre work. He worked on both inbound and outbound calls before moving on to a Team Manager role. Finally moving to Allstate when he wanted to work closer to home in Strabane. In his Area Leader role, Tom now manages an area with over 250 employees and much of his time is about developing people and working with HR on the recruitment of new employees.
Tom is part of the senior management team and works closely with his counterparts in the Belfast and L'Derry offices. His role also involves travelling to the US, mainly Chicago, Dallas and Virginia but he has also had the opportunity to travel to California visiting LA and Palm Springs.
