Allstate NI Strabane One Day Recruitment Event

Strabane is to play host to an Allstate NI Strabane recruitment event on 8 May 2012.

The event, organised by the Department for Employment and Learning in conjunction with Allstate, Strabane District Council and Eures Crossborder Partnership will be held between 10am and 4pm at the Alley Theatre, 1 Railway Street, Strabane, Co Tyrone on Tuesday 8 May 2012. The event will offer 30 + new job opportunities for the Strabane office. Full training will be provided and the permanent full-time positions are for both technical and processing projects.

The recruitment process will begin on the day and successful candidates can expect job offers within one week. Applicants must attend this event to apply for these positions.

Dr Stephen Farry, Minister for Employment and Learning, said: "This is an ideal opportunity for anyone looking for employment or thinking of a career change and should be taken full advantage of. Events like this are great for potential recruits especially during these challenging economic times. They give opportunity for those seeking employment to meet with a major local employer, build useful contacts and learn more about the company. Also at this event local careers advisers will be available to provide assistance with completing application forms on the day."

The Strabane Allstate office provides a range of business support services such as technical support, software testing and insurance policy processing, 24/7, 365 days a year, providing a first class customer service to its parent company in the US. In order to accommodate these new positions and increased training requirements, Allstate is opening a new Training Centre close to its office at Orchard Road to provide a training environment for the new and current employees.

Tom Hamilton, Area Leader for the Strabane office said "This is testament to the people and skills of the diverse workforce in Strabane. Our relationship with our US partners has gone from strength to strength over the last 8 years. We are delighted to be developing this specialised training facility and to offer further opportunities to join our Allstate team in the months ahead. In the past 24 months over 100 employees at the Strabane office have been promoted to higher level roles, some into management positions, so these new jobs could be a stepping stone to a great career at Allstate."
