Storm system strikes Central and Southern US

A volatile storm system swept across Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Kentucky, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri May 1 through 3, 2008 resulting in scattered widespread damages ranging from minor to moderate with a few substantial losses. A Mobile Response Unit was deployed to assist customers.

Tornado outbreak in Virginia; Washington D.C. and Maryland also impacted by storms

A severe weather outbreak April 27 through 29 in Virginia, Maryland and Washington D.C. resulted in vehicle and property damages due to strong winds, flying debris, torrential rains, hail and three tornadoes. The wind speeds associated with the tornadoes in central and southeast Virginia ranged from 86 to 110 MPH. A Allstate Mobile Response Unit was deployed to Suffolk, VA but has since left the area due to minimal/no customer traffic.

Central Texas hit with strong winds and large hail

Severe thunderstorms pushed through Central Texas April 25 - 27 bringing heavy rain, lightning, strong winds and golf ball to baseball sized hail.

Storms whip up damage in North Texas again

Another spring storm brought severe weather to North Texas leaving behind widespread damage from April 23 to April 24. The storms consisted of frequent lightning, wind gusts of up to 60 mph and golf ball to baseball-sized hail.

Central US hit with large hail and strong winds

Volatile storms consisting of heavy rains, lightning strikes, strong wind gusts and hail swept through Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Kentucky and Tennessee April 22 and April 23.

Cold front moves over North Texas

A cold front moved over North Texas the evening of April 17 and the morning of April 18 resulted in heavy rains, strong winds and large damaging hailstones.

Southeastern US impacted by strong storm system

A storm system consisting of wind gusts up to 86 mph swept through Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina April 11 through April 13.

A strong storm system trekking northeastward across Minnesota, Illinois and Wisconsin impacted residents with its high winds, plunging temperatures and heavy rains and snow April 10 through 12.

Volatile storms sweep through central U.S.

A volatile line of storms in the central U.S. resulted in scattered property damages April 9 through 11. These storms produced up to baseball sized hail, torrential rains, heavy lightning and strong winds; including straight-line and tornadic winds. These storms impacted Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee and Kentucky.

Texas hit with severe weather leaving behind widespread damage

Severe weather blew through West Texas and into the Dallas Fort-Worth area leaving behind widespread damage from April 8 to April 10. The storms consisted of frequent lightning, wind gusts of up to 80 mph, isolated hail and embedded tornadoes.

Oklahoma pounded with hailstorms

Severe storms consisting of golf ball-sized hail, torrential rains, straight-line winds and lighting damaged homes and vehicles across Oklahoma April 7 through 9.

Southern Plains hammered by severe storms

An active storm system moved into the Southern Plains April 3 and April 4 impacting the states of Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee and Kentucky . The severe weather included large hail, high winds, heavy rains, lightning and some tornadic activity, which caused severe damages to properties.

Northeastern Texas hit again with large hail, high winds and flooding rains

Texas storms consisting of heavy rains, lightning strikes, wind gusts to 60 mph, straight-line winds and large hail pounded the state for the second time in one week.

A storm system consisting of large damaging hail, high winds and lightning buffeted the Arkansas, Louisiana, Kentucky, Mississippi and Tennessee March 30 through April 1.

Texas and Oklahoma hit with large hail, high winds and flooding rains

Severe weather struck Texas and Oklahoma from March 29 to April 1 bringing large hail, high winds, flooding rains as well as some tornadic activity. Winds with gusts up to 70 mph and hail up to 1.75 inches in diameter were reported

Hail storm hits the Southern U.S.

A powerful line of storms moved across the country impacting Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee and Kentucky March 18 through 19, 2008. This storm system consisted of straight line winds, hail and lightning. Losses are primarily minor to moderate with a few severe and chiefly consist of wind/hail damages to roofs and other structures.

Storms soak the Midwest U.S.

A powerful line of storms moved across the country impacting the states of Indiana, Ohio and Michigan beginning March 18 through March 20. This storm system consists of high winds, straight line winds, hail, lightning and heavy rain. Loss reports indicate moderate damages with losses largely related to water and sewer back-up and wind and hail damages to roofs.

Tornados, strong winds and hail travel through the Southeast U.S.

A storm system consisting of multiple tornadoes, extremely high winds, rain and hail tramped across Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina. The most extensive damages occurred when an EF2 tornado (Enhanced Fujita Scale) struck downtown Atlanta.

Strong storms lashed the Eastern U.S. as cold air from the northwest encountered warmer air from the south March 6 through March 9 impacting the states of Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, New York and New Jersey.

Mid Atlantic states hit with strong cold front

A strong cold front consisting of heavy rain, violent thunderstorms and strong winds swept across the Mid Atlantic states March 3 – 5, 2008. The high winds associated with this system downed trees, tree limbs and power lines causing widespread power outages in Virginia, Maryland and Washington D.C. and also caused scattered property damages across the region.

A strong storm system impacted residents in New York on March 4 and 5, 2008. Heavy rains and gusting winds downed trees and power lines in the New York City Metropolitan area causing scattered widespread power outages; residents in the northern areas of New York State battled heavy rains, sleet, snow and blustering winds.

A volatile storm system consisting of intense thunderstorms, damaging winds and heavy rain swept across Tennessee’s west and northwest region, Western Mississippi, Central Louisiana, North Central Kentucky and Central Arkansas March 3 and 4, 2008.

Storm consisting of strong winds, rain and hail hit Southeast
02/26/2008 4:30 PM CST

A line of storms consisting of high winds, lightning strikes, heavy rain and penny sized hail swiftly moved across Alabama and Georgia leaving thousands without utilities and damaging property February 25 and 26. Residents of South Carolina and North Carolina also reported damage.
